Rugby Offenbach partners with Rugby Academy Ireland
Wynston Cameron-Dow head trainer of rugby Offenbach and Dan van Zyl former Springbok player and director of rugby at the rugby academy Ireland have agreed on terms to work together to help German rugby . As well as giving top Academy players from Ireland a chance to play senior rugby outside their country.
The rugby coaches and native south Africans have agreed on a partnership which sees top youth players from Ireland being given the opportunity to come play senior rugby in Germany as well as youth from Germany being sent to Ireland to attend the professional academy for upto 8 months all expenses covered thru sponsors of rugby Offenbach .
This is one of two partnerships rugby Offenbach have signed in a big surge to grow rugby in the region as well as the youth giving youth the opportunity to experience world class coaching as well what it takes to be a elite rugby player , Rugby academy Ireland works with both Munster and Leinster academy both major rugby clubs in world rugby .
The main goal of Wynston Cameron –Dow and Dominique Arnault and the sponsors of Offenbach is not to grow one big strong club but also to help the German youth get the best possible start to their young careers.
“It is my truth belief that if we are to build a strong rugby community in Germany splashing money into one individual club is a short term fix , to really build something that will last is to educate the current coaches and youth by giving them the best tools possible to grow and sometimes these are not on your door step . we need the level of rugby overall in Germany to be closer Thus leading to real growth both for our grass roots rugby as well for our national teams”. Wynston Cameron –Dow Head trainer Rugby Offenbach
