Success against URC Giessen

In the first game of the season the BSC Offenbach wins against a Gießen team who has fought until the end.  BSC scored a  total of 56 points to the board, keeping their own field clean. With many new arrivals, the goal for this game was to find a line and implement the tactics developed so far in training. In the first halftime  coordination problems and the strong defense of Gießen were responsible for the fact that it was only 7: 0 until the 30th minute. The newcomer from Frankfurt SC 1880 Dow and Offenbachs  Beier were able to score two tries for Offenbach before halftime. In the second half the game of Offenbach was then much smoother, and one had to notice that the team  understood each other much better. The five other attempts in the second half could be increased as the three of the first all by Captain Patrick Dunkley. His opinion on the game: « I have great respect for the performance of our opponents, who held against a strong offense until the end, and also challenged us in the defense a couple of times. Our performance is satisfactory, but there is still a lot of room for improvement. A new squad always means that you have to get used to each other. The chemistry in the team is right, and we will certainly improve during the first half of the season. «
